St. Pio College of Nursing Sciences, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria, was founded on the enduring principles of selfless service, healing, compassion, and academic excellence.

Named after St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, the humble Capuchin friar renowned for his deep devotion to God and tireless care for the sick and suffering, the institution was established with a clear vision: to raise a new generation of highly skilled, morally grounded, and compassionate healthcare professionals.

Established in October 2025 by visionary educators and healthcare professionals, the College was born out of the recognition that the world does not simply need more nurses, but nurses who combine technical excellence with empathy, integrity, and spiritual compassion.

Following a rigorous phase of infrastructure development, faculty recruitment, and academic planning, the institution officially welcomed its pioneer students in November 2025, marking the transformation of a dream into a thriving academic community.

Located beside the Asaba International Airport along the Benin–Asaba Expressway, St. Pio College of Nursing Sciences serves as a center of excellence for nursing education, professional development, and community health advancement.

Since inception, the College has remained committed to bridging the healthcare manpower gap within the region and beyond by producing competent nurses equipped with both scientific knowledge and humane values.

At St. Pio College of Nursing Sciences, education extends beyond the classroom.

We believe that nursing is not merely a profession, but a divine calling to serve humanity with empathy, discipline, dedication, and integrity.

Through rigorous academic training, clinical exposure, ethical formation, and modern teaching methodologies, students are prepared to meet the ever-evolving demands of healthcare delivery in Nigeria and across the world.

Our learning environment is designed to inspire excellence, critical thinking, leadership, innovation, and service.

With experienced educators, practical-oriented instruction, and a culture rooted in professionalism and compassion, the College empowers students to become confident healthcare practitioners capable of making meaningful impacts in hospitals, communities, and healthcare institutions globally.

Guided by the virtues of St. Padre Pio. humility, sacrifice, faith, prayer, and service to humanity, we have built a culture that reflects discipline, spiritual growth, scientific inquiry, and compassionate care.

Our mission is not only to train nurses who heal bodies, but also caregivers who bring hope, comfort, dignity, and humanity to every life they touch.
